About Us

UCC Charitable and Educational Trust

The Ukrainian Canadian community has played a significant role in shaping Canada’s political and cultural landscape.  Now, more than ever, we need young leaders to step up to continue the work of the first Ukrainian Canadians.

The Program is designed to empower young Ukrainian Canadians and foster their leadership skills, policy awareness, and cultural understanding.

It serves as a platform for enthusiastic and driven young people who are passionate about making a positive impact in their communities and in Canada, in line with the three pillars of the UCC work:

  • Growing our Community
  • Celebrating and Advancing our Ukrainian Canadian Identity
  • Supporting Ukraine

The Why

The establishment of the Youth Ambassadors Program by the UCC is driven by the XXVII Triennial Resolutions:

  • Recognition of the crucial importance of active citizen involvement, especially among the youth;
  • Focus on empowering and motivating young individuals to emerge as leaders within the Ukrainian Canadian community.
  • Addressing the imperative need to continue the legacy of the first Ukrainian-Canadians who worked hard to establish community institutions;
  • Commitment to fostering communal learning, inclusion and growth through ongoing engagement.

Program Advisory Council

The Council brings together community leaders with diverse backgrounds, who will provide invaluable guidance and support to the Youth Ambassadors Program. Their expertise and passion will support the growth and development of program participants and broaden the program’s reach.
