FAQ
UCC Youth Ambassador Program
When does the program start?
The Youth Ambassador program is an 8-month program that starts in September and concludes with a Youth Ambassador Summit in late May/early June.
Youth Ambassadors should expect to dedicate around 5–10 hours per month, which includes attending virtual seminars, engaging with mentors, and working on their projects.
Who can apply?
If you self-identify as Ukrainian, Ukrainian Canadian, or as a Canadian with Ukrainian roots aged 18-30 and aspire to make a positive impact in your community, we invite you to participate in our Youth Ambassadors program.
What kind of projects do Youth Ambassadors work on?
Projects vary widely, from organizing cultural events and advocacy campaigns to supporting humanitarian initiatives and developing digital outreach strategies. Ambassadors have the flexibility to design projects that align with their interests and community needs.
What kind of support do Ambassadors receive?
Ambassadors benefit from one-on-one mentorship, skill-building seminars led by experts, and a network of peers and community leaders. Additionally, program coordinators, UCC staff, and local UCC leaders provide ongoing support throughout the project development and implementation process.
Can I participate if I don’t have a project idea yet?
Absolutely! We’ll help you brainstorm ideas and connect you with mentors who can guide you in developing a meaningful project.
